LPP Program Overview
Experience the Springs - COS Newcomers and Enthusiasts
Experience the Springs is an interactive two-day orientation to the Pikes Peak region – its history, its infrastructure, its leadership, its unique facets (art, education, military...), and more. It is an eye-opening look at what our community has to offer, and the ways you might get involved. If you are new to the area, or if you'd just like to learn more about Colorado Springs, Experience the Springs is a fabulous introduction. If you are considering one of our leadership programs, it is a great start.
Leadership Now! - Young Professionals
We have made the difficult decision to cancel the Leadership Now program for 2023. Please contact lpp@leadershippikespeak.org with any questions.
Leadership NOW!, which runs from August to December, exists to engage, support, and mobilize thirty young professionals per year as engaged members of our community. LNOW! is the pipeline for tomorrow’s leadership – it provides skill development, helps participants model civic spirit and effective teamwork, and plugs them into the life and leadership of the Pikes Peak region.
Leading Edge - Teens
We have made the difficult decision to cancel the Leading Edge program for 2023. Please contact lpp@leadershippikespeak.org with any questions.
Leading Edge provides local teens with the skills and connections to get involved and make a difference in their community. This summer program introduces up to forty young leaders to the skills, concepts, organizations, and people that can form a foundation for a lifetime of civic engagement – starting now.
Signature - Established Professionals
The Signature program accepts up to forty experienced professionals each year from public, private, and nonprofit sectors and equips them for community leadership. Over 10 months from August to the following June, participants learn about the most critical issues facing the Pikes Peak region, as they interact with the community’s most dynamic leaders.
We have multiple Signature information sessions coming up in April & May! We will go over what the program entails, time commitments, and answer any questions you may have! Click the button below to register.
Women's Community Leadership Initiative (WCLI)
The Women’s Community Leadership Initiative (WCLI) accepts up to thirty women who might not otherwise have access to a community leadership program. WCLI empowers women to unlock their potential to make a difference through knowing their community better, meeting community leaders and understanding local channels of decision-making, and practicing and refining their own leadership skills. WCLI is a free program offered each January through May.
